These are the reviews of former and current students that have been taken directly from the Facebook page:

Luke is one of the kindest people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I have worked with him in the performance area as well as one of his students! He has helped my voice grow in ways that I can’t even describe and has been the truest friend along the way.

He also was a key proponent in my successful audition for the choral music Ed department at the university of Tampa

You literally can’t go wrong if you choose to have Luke as your teacher. You will leave with love, learning and a heart full of music!

Luke is a spectacular voice teacher! He taught me things I never knew about my own voice, and helped me find confidence in my singing and musicianship. He is very knowledgeable in the mechanics of the voice, various genres and styles of music, and has an amazing knowledge of repertoire (in many languages). He is not only a wonderful performer, but remarkable teacher as well. Very lucky to have worked with him!

Luke is one of the most talented voices I've heard, with an incredible range of style. His knowledge of his own voice (as well as knowledge of the human vocal system in general) makes him an excellent teacher. I learned more about my own voice and myself as a musician in the year that I spent taking lessons with Luke, than I ever have. His vocal warm-ups, exercises and techniques have helped me to widen my vocal range and are extremely helpful. Luke is simply an amazing teacher and I would recommend his teaching to anyone who is looking to become a better musician.

Luke really knew what he was talking about and was very knowledgeable about many genres. He cared a lot about vocal health, making sure that was at the core of my training. His vocal exercises were easy yet effective, showing diagrams of what the mouth and throat should look like and even having this really cool app that showed what a proper singing voice looked like through sound waves.

Luke Selker is not just an amazing voice teacher but has a big heart. Luke has so much knowledge when it comes to classical music, musical-theatre, vocal pedagogy, and over all vocal control. My experience with Luke was like no other. I studied with him for 1 full year and he helped my voice jump like 10 steps from where it was when I first walked into his studio. He was always honest with me when it came to me fixing my posture, larynx, and diction. Another great thing about Luke is that he has a huge passion for his craft. Luke is completely natural when teaching which lead to me not being nervous and progressing faster in my craft. I would 100% recommend Luke Selker as a voice teacher if you are interested in singing Classical Music, Musical-Theatre, or singing in general.

Not only does Luke have a wealth of knowledge and expertise in vocal pedagogy, he also has the incredible ability to teach what he knows so well. I had the privilege of preparing for several roles under Luke’s guidance and was blown away by how my voice sounded each and every session. I would recommend Luke as a voice teacher to anyone looking to progress as a vocalist and musician!

Luke has strong knowledge in classical and musical-theatre-style singing, and is effective in communicating and demonstrating how to achieve and sustain these voices while maintaining vocal health (i.e. avoiding strain). He offers helpful practices for vocal projection, breath regulation, and shaping of the mouth and throat (as an example, he used a "Patrick Star" vocal exercise to teach me how to sing more openly and operatically).

Luke's passion for his craft and studies is clear in his work, and he is an understanding and creative vocal teacher. I strongly recommend for anyone seeking to improve their voice for theatre, casual performative singing, or opera.
